The song that evokes the strongest memories for me is “Summer Breeze” by Seals and Crofts. I’ve heard a million songs since, but in the ’70s this song was all over the radio. If I hear it today, I stop what I am doing, close my eyes and drift off . . . unless I am driving. It’s still a beauty to my ears today and one of the first songs I remember hearing that made me understand what a song actually was.
