as varied as one could hope

The most beautiful drives I’ve ever taken have been in the Yukon. In 2013 I drove from Barrie to the Yukon, and that drive across Canada was amazing. However, driving the Canol Road between Johnson’s Crossing and Ross River and the Dempster Highway up to Inuvik were two of the best segments on the trip. The land is raw and remote. The scenery is as varied as one could hope: forests, lakes, mountains and the most breathtaking open and rolling tundra. I highly recommend a road trip in the Yukon. There aren’t many roads up there, but if you have the time, drive them all.
